PCHi 2026: A First Look at What’s Next in Beauty Science

The trade fair will cover 70,000 square-meters of exhibition space, welcoming over 850 companies from 26 countries and regions.

The Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) trade show will return March 18-20, 2026 at the Hangzhou Grand Convention & Exhibition Center.

As innovation in the beauty and personal care sector accelerates, organizers say China has become a critical testing ground for new ingredients, formulation approaches and compliance-ready solutions. Against this backdrop, PCHi provides international industry professionals with visibility into how these developments translate into scalable, real-world applications.

Exhibitor Spotlight

At PCHi 2026, the show floor will offer a snapshot of ongoing shifts in ingredient innovation, formulation science, and regulatory readiness. PCHi 2026 will cover 70,000 square meters of exhibition space, welcoming over 850 companies from 26 countries and regions. These exhibitors span a full spectrum of sectors, including ingredients, laboratory & testing services, equipment, packaging and AI applications. With more than 150 new exhibitors joining this edition, visitors can expect a broader view of the technologies and technical capabilities entering the market.

Advancing Bioactive Ingredient Science and Delivery

Givaudan Active Beauty will present its latest technology platform and cosmetic ingredients developed through marine, plant-based, and fermentation-driven biotechnology. At the show, the company will highlight an advanced hyaluronic-acid-based delivery platform designed to enhance the depth, homogeneity and durability of molecule penetration into the skin, including protection against enzymatic degradation, alongside brightening actives such as Evernityl and Illuminyl 388. Developed within globally aligned R&D frameworks, these solutions reflect growing interest in precision beauty approaches that consider environmental exposure, microbiome balance and functional skin performance.

Bloomage will showcase bioactive ingredients produced through fermentation and synthetic biology. Featured developments include Hymagic-VCHA, which covalently conjugates ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) with Sodium Hyaluronate to create a pioneering dual-core stabilization system—one that rebuilds the ECM while boosting elasticity and hydration—and Hybloom Aurora, an ultralow-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid designed to support skin vitality at the cellular level. Together, these offerings point to the industry’s shift toward scientifically substantiated, traceable ingredients supported by international safety and quality standards.

Precision Chemistry and Synergistic Systems

Coachchem will present its achievements in molecular design, synthetic chemistry, and plant-derived actives. At PCHi 2026, the company will showcase how it has leverage its Anallerg, EffeMIX and BiocosMe core technology brands to illustrate how derivative chemistry, synergistic active systems, and plant exosome technology are being applied in skincare formulations, particularly in the development of vitamin, amino acid and carbohydrate-based derivatives.

Biotechnology, Sustainability and Regulatory Readiness

Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant will present biotech-derived active ingredients and formulation solutions designed to balance performance with environmental considerations. Its blue biotechnology platform leverages microalgae to produce purified bioactives as alternatives to conventional ingredients. Supported by a global R&D network and traceability systems aligned with international regulatory requirements, the portfolio reflects the increasing convergence of sustainability, scientific validation, and compliance in ingredient development.

Testing, Certification and Compliance Expertise

SGS will showcase its testing, inspection, certification and regulatory services supporting evidence-based product development across the cosmetics and personal care sector. At PCHi 2026, the company will focus on advanced efficacy evaluation and non-invasive measurement technologies, highlighting the role of precise, data-driven methodologies in strengthening scientific substantiation and supporting clearer, regulation-aligned efficacy claims in an increasingly competitive market.

Innovation Across the Show Floor

Beyond individual exhibitor presentations, PCHi 2026 will feature dedicated initiatives including the Fountain Awards display, New Products Showcase, Innovation Zone and Sustainability Zone. These areas give visitors a structured way to follow how new ideas progress from research and development through to market-ready solutions.

“PCHi serves as a gateway for global industry professionals to observe how emerging trends and market forces translate into practical solutions,” said a Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE) spokesperson. “As part of RSE’s wider portfolio of cosmetics and personal care events, PCHi also sits within a year-round program of platforms that support ongoing technical exchange, market understanding, and industry dialogue. By bringing together technologies, research capabilities, and technical expertise, the event offers clear insight into how innovation is being applied across the industry.”
